Ross Love is a Senior Partner and Managing Director in the New York office of The Boston Consulting Group.
Most recently Ross has as, Managing Partner for New York (2015-2017), led BCG’s largest office worldwide through a substantial commercial, cultural and market positioning transformation. In this capacity Ross has been a key member of BCG’s North American Leadership Team. Prior to that he led the doubling of BCG’s Australian and New Zealand business as System Head, during which time he was an active member of BCG’s Asia Pacific Leadership Team (2008-2014.)
Much of Ross’s consulting career has focused on the airline industry where he led one of BCG’s largest and longest running client relationships and BCG’s global airline practice. He has also led major relationships in urban rail, grocery and apparel retail and organization transformation. He has extensive experience in driving change at the strategic, organizational and operational levels.
He is never happier than when he is working with strong and ambitious executive teams on complex multi-faceted transformations – bringing the best of BCG’s global industry and functional talent to precise points of organizational leverage.
He has also committed much of his recent time to the public sector in Australia and in New York, with a particular a focus on improving measurable outcomes in large public sector organizations fulfilling essential policy and service roles, including transport and health.
Throughout his twenty five year career at BCG Ross has been deeply engaged in the group’s pro-bono activities particularly in indigenous engagement in Australia, and in lifting the group’s social impact profile in New York, including with the International Rescue Committee, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Lincoln Center where he sat on the Corporate Board, and the United Nations.
Prior to joining BCG, Ross was the Chief of Staff to the Premier of Western Australia. This followed four years in the United States studying at Harvard University and consulting in California, and three years as an economic policy adviser to the Government of Western Australia.
Ross has a Bachelor of Arts with First Class Honours in Politics from the University of Western Australia, a Masters of Public Administration from Harvard University, and has completed further business studies at the London Business School. He was a Harkness Fellow for Australia in 1986.
